AUTUMN CONFERENCE ON LANDSCAPES

Don’t miss our autumn conference on Saturday 4th November, organised jointly with the Royal Geographical Society. The theme is Landscapes and it features some of the brightest young researchers from universities in Yorkshire and the North East.

The conference takes place at York St John University, starting at 10.00am and ending around 5.00pm. As well as talks by 7 young researchers, there will be a keynote lecture by Professor Vincent Gaffney on Landscape and the “New Mapping”. Professor Gaffney is well known for his work on hidden landscapes in Doggerland and the Stone Henge area. There will also be poster presentations and PLACE books for sale. The conference fee is £15.00 (£5.00 for students) and includes coffee, tea and buffet lunch.
