PLACE Pre-Christmas event, December 15th 2021, ‘While Shepherds Ate …’

Posted on

We can now confirm that our Pre-Christmas event this year will take place from 2.00 to 4.00pm on Wednesday 15th December in Bedern Hall, York.

After a glass of mulled wine or fruit juice on arrival, there will be an illustrated talk by Eileen White, entitled ‘While Shepherds Ate….’, based on her research into the food the players ate during performances of the Chester cycle of mystery plays. This will be followed by light refreshments, loosely based on the historical account of the food. It promises to be a fascinating afternoon and, importantly, a chance for those who are able to get together again in person at last.

The cost per person will be £10.00, payable by cheque (made out to ‘PLACE’) or BACS (see booking form with the autumn newsletter for details). Please book in advance by e-mail or post but do not pay until early December.

Non-members are welcome! To book: [email protected]
