PLACE Christmas event with Ars Ludendi a great success!

Posted on

Our last event of 2017 was a Christmas extravaganza at St Anthony’s Hall, York, featuring dramatic readings by local theatre group Ars Ludendi. Their theme was the origin of Christmas traditions and it was illustrated by hilarious extracts from plays and books, from the Second Shepherds Play from the Wakefield cycle of mystery plays, through Victorian melodrama to Just William! Seasonal refreshments and winter punch were served and a good time was had by all.

A full programme of events from February onwards will be published in the new year, along with the next newsletter. We wish all our members a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
