Medieval York

Posted on

Our most recent short course was led by Dr Robert Wright and was on the subject of Medieval York. It was attended by about 50 people each week and was a great success. It covered the entire period from late Roman times to late medieval York, including information on life in the medieval city, York’s monasteries and churches and the archbishops and their palaces.

To follow up the course, participants will be making visits to parts of York Minster not normally open to visitors, led by local guide and PLACE member, Chris Adams. The list of people signed up for these visits is attached below.  Most of the visits are full but there is still room on the tour taking place at 10.00am on Saturday 30th July.  If anyone wishes to join this tour, please contact us immediately: [email protected]
The tour costs £10.00.
