Walk in the Dunnington area

Meet at 1.30pm at the Sports Club car park (SE 673523) for a walk of c.5 miles from Dunnington. The walk will include a visit to Hagg Wood, where the bluebells should still be in flower and Linda Maggs will tell us about the history and management of the site.

Bring a packed lunch and wear boots or stout shoes, as some of the paths may be muddy. The terrain is flat. Toilet facilities should be available after the walk at the Sports Club. This is a free event but numbers are limited to 20 people.

The Sports Club is on Common Road. From York, take the second entrance into Dunnington from the Hull Road A1079; from Hull, take the first entrance road. The Sports Club is on your right as you enter the village. The number 10 bus comes through Dunnington: walk half a mile south down the road from the Cross Keys pub and you’ll see the Sports Club on your left.
